Meet Vincent Pieterse
I’m Vincent Pieterse, an executive leadership coach working with ambitious leaders who want to grow, rethink, and lead with greater clarity.
As an executive coach, leadership expert, and published author with a Ph.D. in Business Administration (specializing in Leadership and Organizational Culture), I bring over 40 years of international experience across corporate, academic, and entrepreneurial contexts.
Personally trained by John Mattone — the world’s #1 coaching authority and former coach to Steve Jobs — I’m proud to be a Master Certified Intelligent Leadership Coach and part of the Elite Coaches within the John Mattone Global family.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of leaders. These include Fortune 500 executives, CEOs, and ministers, as well as senior government officials, entrepreneurs, and emerging leaders across Europe, the United States, the Middle East, and the Far East.
Ultimately, my focus is on helping leaders grow, expand their impact, and lead with clarity and purpose.

Unlocking Leadership Potential
My coaching approach is grounded in the Intelligent Leadership methodology developed by John Mattone, complemented by a strong focus on the power of language and meaning. I believe that the words we choose shape how we lead. By reframing challenges, we can open new paths for growth.
I help leaders uncover their inner-core drivers and align them with strategic action, creating impact that is both personal and organizational.

A Creative Lens on Leadership and Culture
I draw inspiration from art and language. This allows me to bring a creative perspective to leadership and organizational challenges. I focus on surfacing the positive and offering fresh insights into deeply rooted dynamics. By viewing thoughts, behaviors, identities, and group culture as shaped by social interaction, I support leaders in seeing beyond the obvious — and in crafting strategies that lead to meaningful, lasting change.
A Personal Touch
My fascination with organizational culture and leadership began early. I grew up surrounded by international perspectives. My father worked for the European Space Agency (ESA), and our circle of friends included families from Western and Southern Europe, the Far East, the United States, and Australia. Those formative years taught me that how people lead and follow is always shaped by the interplay between who they are and the cultural context they operate in.
That curiosity led me not only into leadership development, but also into academic research. My PhD explored the relationship between leadership, organizational culture, and meaning-making, with a particular focus on how power, values, and identity intersect in complex environments. The tension between a leader’s deeply held beliefs and the cultural and organizational structures around them remains central to my coaching work.
Over the years, my life and career have stayed internationally oriented, and I continue to value friendships and collaborations across cultures. In every coaching engagement, I draw on this combined perspective — personal, academic, and professional — to help leaders navigate complexity, stay anchored in what matters, and shape the culture around them with clarity and courage.
This broader perspective also shaped the name of my practice.
Where Does the Name The Hubler Come From?
Glad you asked. The Hubler is named after a journey that was guided not by control or certainty but by character, trust, and curiosity. It was inspired by Ludovic Hubler, a French adventurer who hitchhiked around the world for five years as a deliberate experiment in human connection and trust. His story reflects a deeper truth about leadership: it is not about knowing every step in advance, but about how you carry yourself when the path is unpredictable.
This perspective is at the heart of Intelligent Leadership. Effective leadership begins within. It is shaped by the values, mindset, and emotional strength that guide your decisions and your ability to influence others. Growth comes not from avoiding discomfort but from engaging with it. It requires the courage to reflect, to adjust, and to act with intention.
Here, leadership is viewed as a human journey. It is not a fixed role or a destination but a continuous process of becoming more purposeful, more authentic, and more connected to others — and to the legacy you wish to leave behind.
Bridging Practice, Academia, and Global Leadership
