Executive Coaching

Some questions need space, not a framework.
The Hubler - TH website homepage Executive Coaching

At senior levels, questions rarely remain within one category. A decision about growth may also be about letting go. A difficult relationship may be connected to structure, history, or an unspoken difference in how the future is understood. The words used to describe a situation can quietly determine which responses appear possible.

Executive Coaching creates a confidential space to examine the whole situation. I bring experience of leading organizations, coaching internationally, and researching leadership and organizational culture. You bring the reality as you are living it. We work with what matters now, while remaining open to what becomes visible along the way.

Sometimes progress begins not with a better answer, but with a more useful description of the question.

Founders and long-serving CEOs are often surrounded by people, yet have few places where they can think openly with someone who understands both the business and the weight of the role.

A thinking partner for part of the route

The higher the responsibility, the fewer places there may be to think aloud without first considering how your words will be heard.

The name The Hubler reflects how I approach the coaching relationship. I join you for part of the route, but I do not take the wheel.

I listen, question, challenge, and offer another perspective. When it adds value, I draw on my own executive experience, while the decisions and the responsibility remain yours.

There is no predetermined curriculum. One conversation may focus on an immediate business decision, another on an Executive team, a transition, a difficult relationship, or something that is not yet clear enough to name. The direction develops through the conversation.

Sometimes that journey is metaphorical. Through Executive Hitchhiking, it can become literal.

Some conversations benefit from leaving the room

A change of setting can change more than the view. Moving away from the office, the screen, and the familiar language of the working day can create enough distance for another perspective to emerge.

Executive Hitchhiking is coaching in motion. It can take place in a chauffeur-driven executive vehicle, during suitable travel already arranged by you or your organization, including rail or private aviation where appropriate, or while walking outdoors.

It can form part of either a three- or six-month Executive Coaching engagement, particularly around a significant decision, transition, or leadership question that deserves more uninterrupted space.

The vehicle is not the point. The movement, the temporary distance, and the conversation are.

Where leadership, business, and organizational life meet

Most clients do not bring a pure leadership question or a pure business question. Strategy, performance, culture, relationships, identity, and personal judgment often occupy the same space.

Separating them too quickly may make the situation easier to categorize, but harder to understand.

We remain close to the organizational and commercial reality while also examining the assumptions, relationships, and language shaping it. A change in how the question is understood can reveal possibilities that were not visible before.

How the work moves

Regular conversations create continuity, but the rhythm is designed around executive reality. Sessions can move around board cycles, international travel, critical decisions, major transactions, and demanding business periods. Brief contact between sessions is available when timely support matters.

The work can take place virtually, face-to-face, blended, or in motion. The setting may change; the confidentiality and attention given to the conversation do not.

Where might the conversation move?

The first conversation is about your context, what is occupying your attention, and whether working together would genuinely add value.

You do not need to reduce the situation to a coaching category or arrive with a perfectly formulated objective before we speak.
